Business of the Year Award

Each year, the Greater Watertown - North Country Chamber of Commerce hosts an award presentation which celebrates the Business of the Year Award recipients. Top organizations in the North Country are recognized during this prestigious event for their outstanding contributions to our community.

Every year, the Emerging Business of the Year Award is presented to a business or organization that has been in business for five years or less.  The company will be recognized as an up and coming business based on actual or potential growth of its business, innovative products, or services. Nominees do not need to be a chamber member. Download Nomination Form here.

The Vendor of the Year Award is presented to a vendor with a unique presentation, a creative display and a high level of engagement with customers. The vendor will have shown a commitment to the Watertown Farm and Craft Market and an expansion in offering to customers and additional community involvement outside of the market. Nominations are open to all reserved market vendors in good standing, who participated in the 2019 market season, and have been a vendor at the market for a minimum of three consecutive years.  Vendors may nominate themselves or another vendor. Nominees do not need to be a chamber member. Previous recipients of the Business of the Year Award in this category are not eligible. Download Nomination Form here.

The For Profit Business Small & Large Business of the Year Awards are presented to a business or organization able to demonstrate  achievement and innovation in management, product service development and having commitment to growth in the Greater Watertown - North Country region. For-profit companies that have been in business for five years or more, and are in good standing as a member of the chamber, are eligible. Nominees may not have previously won a Business of the Year Award in this category. Download Nomination Form here.

The Non-Profit Organization Small & Large Business of the Year Awards are presented to organizations with an outstanding model of mission achievement and community impact. Chamber members that are non-profits with a 501(c) status, and have been in operation for over five years, are eligible for nomination. Nominees must be in good standing and may not have previously won a Business of the Year Award in this category. Download Nomination form here.
